* Armação de Pêra, Carvoeiro Has a large choice
of pubs, snackbars & restaurants , lots of opportunity to converse
with the locals. You can reach it in about 10 min
(4 - 6 km) . * Armação de Pêra - is a lovely finesand
beach on the Algarve ca. 6 km long with lovely bays. There is enough
room for swimmers and fishing boats, an ideal beach
for children. * Carvoeiro - An old fishing village - today you have
Shops, Restaurants & all sorts of sport on offer. In
"Carvoeiro", "Lagôa" you have two
18 hole courses, as well as the David Leadbetter golf Academy .
Also you have a 9 hole course in Vale do Milho "Pestana
Golf & Resort". * Silves - As you arrive in Silves you will recognise
the red Castle wall which surronds there . Its also worth a trip
to the gothic Cathedral & the archaeological museum. * Porches - Has its own Pottery. * Senhora da Rocha - The small romantic
church "Nossa Senhora da Rocha" that stands on a cliff,
loaming over the sea, is worth a visit as you stroll along the coast.
* Beach - The nearest small swimming bay ( Praia
da Marinha, Carvalho, Benagil, Centianes, Albandeira, Senhora da Rocha, Nova, Gaivotas, Armação de Pêra) are
also 5 - 10 min. by car. * Lagôa - Is well worth a visit not just of its
wines but because here you´ll find the Post office, banks,
supermarkets & also the fruit, vegetables and fish market.
(3 km). * In a fishing boat along
this beautiful coast you can enjoy the wonder of these ochre-colour
( yellow, red, orange) cliffs. In Spring you can enjoy the blossoming
of the flowers
& trees. * Sport : Fishing in Port town Portimão,
surfing water skiing, golf, diving & horse riding in national
st. 125 and tennis in Senhora da Rocha. These are all near by.
